Oatmeal Honey Bread


Oatmeal Honey Bread

 

 

 

1 cup rolled oats

2 cups boiling water

½ cup Honey

2 tsp salt

2 Tbs Butter

 

1 pack yeast

½ warm water

 

In large bowl, combine 1st set ingredients & let sit for one hour.

 

Then, combine yeast & warm water in small bowl and sit for 10 min.

Add yeast mix to oat mix, and slowly add about 4 cups flour.

Mix and turn out on floured board and knead for about 10 minutes.

Place in greased bowl to rise about 1 ½ hours.

Punch dough down on board, divide in two, and shape into loaves.

Grease a cooking sheet, sprinkle some corn meal on it, and place loaves.

Cover and let rise one hour.

Bake at 350 for about 45 min to 1 hour.

As bread is cooling, drizzle honey over tops and sprinkle some rolled oats.
